Title
KEL 562
Description
Captain Ray Young sits on a couch in his military uniform after returning to Twin Falls from the war in Vietnam after serving there for eleven months. On the couch beside him is a Vietnamese painting depicting an old man with a long beard holding a staff, a young boy holding a peach, and a deer. The painting was a gift from Captain Dinh, a Vietnamese air force pilot, whose father was one of three engineers aboard a train which was blown up by Viet Cong and taken by the enemy to the town of Muong Maun. Capt. Young, Capt. Dinh, and a helicopter crew flew into the area and brought the three engineers to safety. He received the painting as a reward during a party given by a Vietnamese fighter squadron.
