"From Herrett's Stock Twin Falls, Idaho, To Transportation Officer, Rock Island Army Depot, Rock Island, Illinois" is painted on a crate of precision-made wooden stocks manufactured by Steven J. Herrett. Holding the stencil is Marcia Hiatt, supervisor of inspection, and applying paint is Leonard Parkin. This is the last of a shipment of 10,000 flawless pairs of wooden pistol grips to be shipped to the U.S. Army Ordnance Department, for which Herrett is a prime contractor. The counter tops behind them are covered in boxes.
