Dr. Leslie Dean, Twin Falls extention plant pathologist for the University of Idaho, kneels in a field beside the new disease-resistant bush beans that he developed. Dr. Dean crossed Idaho Bountiful snap beans with Pinto U.I 111, and Great Northern U.I. 31 and other bean types in the hopes of producing an
acceptable bush-type bean which would provide a poor environment for white mold. Some barrels are stacked at the side of the field. Beyond the field several trees and a house are visible.
